I was a teen in the 80's and always enjoyed hanging out at the arcade. As an adult I have enjoyed retro gaming to recapture some of the happy times of my youth. This handheld is a fantastic device for enjoying some retro games. The build quality is solid and it has no trouble emulating many consoles. There are plenty of included, high quality games to enjoy. The controls are responsive and have no lag. The display is very bright and crisp.Nice hand held game device. Some of thw games have an issues. Especially on psp games.Straight out of the box, this system is good but not great. The SD card is cheap and the firmware is a few generations behind. Additionally, a lot of the features are not so easy to figure out on your own. I very strongly recommend you watch one of the YouTube tutorial videos on this device, as you'll save yourself an immense level of frustration. With that said, if you're the sort who just wants a quick game of Mario or Sonic and doesn't mind not having the ability to save game states, then just go for it.If you do want to save games and learn how to truly utilize this device, then you should buy a new SD card for it straight away (size is up to you, but 128 seems about adequate). You should then update the firmware as this will give you access to features like being able to actually save.Pros:-Good quality feel-Good screen quality-A lot of games straight out of the box-The battery life is pretty okCons:-You can't save unless you get a new SD card and update the firmware-The sound quality isn't always so great-Some systems don't play terribly well (the majority do)-After just two weeks, my batter no longer seems to hold a full chargeAwesome! Battery life is really good, and USB C is really awesome to have.My only physical issue was the cross “+” directional, it came with a malfunction, but the analogue sticks can do the job done.I wish I could have more speed to the fast forward function, specially for gba/gb games. But it’s good enough.N64 and PSP games are not running well, but it was expected with these specs. PS1 games runs smoothly.Overall it’s a great product, few issues here and there, but nothing that hurts its value.So I bought this for myself but my kids ages 3-10 play it more than I do and they seem to enjoy it. Great for kids and easy to follow the instructions for the backwards lettersVery disappointing buying this.It looks closer how is described but doesn't work so... or maybe they miss to mentioned that is running very slow, the quality of the games and resolution is very poor as well. Waiting for 2-3-4 minutes to load the game and when is about to start you realize that this game is unsupported by this device...Unfortunately, I didn't manage to play anything with this toy, most likely will end up on the garbage been.Item was missing some key components. No charger or memory card with startup files were with the gaming system.After a bit of tinkering, this is the perfect system to play most pre-PlayStation games.This is not a toy for those who want something to play immediately. It takes work, but for me the work is fun.Playing Final Fantasy, Pokémon, and even some Dreamcast games has been a joy and to play it on a consul reminiscent of a game boy advance it makes it even more fun. If you’re a tinkerer like me or are interested in a raspberry pie like experience but for gaming, this one is for you.
