I recently had the pleasure of seeing Complicated Animals perform live at a show here in Richmond, VA and had quickly become a fan of them after I hearing some of their music both online and on the NPR radio program the "World Music Show." In having the chance to meet them, I was impressed by their approachability, kindness and good spirits.Both Monica da Silva and Chad Alger are quite a talented duo and showcase their musical creativity on this album. They play a style of music which has been coined as 'Indie Nova' and consists of a combination of Pop music blended with Bossa Nova influences.Their entire EP is catchy, well composed and sounds fantastic. It's really a great album to listen to while you are just chillin' out and want something upbeat to improve your mood. A couple of my personal favorites are "Bees Take to Honey" and "Drive Around in Cars."All in all, I highly recommend this album and encourage you to give it a listen, I think you'll enjoy it!
